TOEFLは卒業
もうTOEFLの勉強を卒業することにした。
そもそも、以前より目標にしていた得点CBT 250点に到達した時点で、もう十分だろうと思っていた。
?? しかし、留学奨学金を得ることになった時点でよくよく調べてみると希望留学先の一つとしてリストアップしてあったケンブリッジ大学大学院の入学条件として、TOEFL CBT 250点以上だけでなく、TWE4.5以上という記載があった。
??TWE対策など一度もしたことがなかった。英文エッセイなんて主張と結論さえはっきりさせた上で後は書きたいことを書けばいいや、と思っていたのである。常に4.0というスコアであった。
?けれどもスポンサーである財団が、ケンブリッジを指定してきた場合、入学の最低必要条件をクリアしていないというのは困るので、遅まきながらTWE対策をすることにした。参考書を買って読んでみると、なるほど、ということが書いてあった。一応、素直に従うことにして、英語の小論文をいくつか書いてみた。コツはつかめたと思う。
?それで、先月受けてみて、結果待ちだった。

Today is holiday because of the Emperor's Birthday. Although I don't cerebrate his birthday at all, I do love to have any holidays in any reasons.
In Shimbashi, I hung out for one hour and bought three books. It is not so cold. Sunny day. Then, I dropped at a coffee shop and took a seat in the non smoking room under the ground. I found a cozy space at the corner. I finished reading one of the books which I bought today. Then, I began to think about many things. I even took notes. I tried to image my life and future and asked myself many questions about the course of my life. It helped me figure out exactly what I want from my life. I spent around 4 hours there with only one coffee! It cost me only 180 yen. Nonetheless, it was very refreshing time to me.
