日本語でも英文(下記本文の下線部参照）を読んでいても「マニ教的二元論」や「マニ教的二項対立」といった表現は昔からよく文章の中に登場してきていた。そういう宗教があるのだろう、というくらいで今まで深い考えもなく、やり過ごしてきた。ふと思いとどまって「マニ教」で検索エンジンにかけてみるとあっという間に見つかる。確かに、広辞苑など引いても比較的マニ教に関しては詳しく解説されているのだが、フリー百科事典『ウィキペディア (Wikipedia) 』にとてもうまくまとめられているのを発見したのでメモ代わりにエントリー。
